Tell Trump: Do not hold $92 million military parade for yourself!

As if there haven’t been enough obscene displays of fascistic excess by the second Trump administration, we now have learned that Trump is once again trying to throw himself a Hitler-style military parade down Pennsylvania Avenue.

According to the Washington City Paper, the president has chosen June 14, 2025, which is the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army,  Flag Day, and also his own 79th birthday as the big day. It’s expected to cost $92 MILLION dollars and another $21 million in safety costs. 

When he tried this the first time, pushback from the Pentagon and from D.C. leadership eventually convinced him to abandon the idea. This time, there’s nobody left to stop him — except us.

Our military and our public money are not toys for him to indulge his ego-boosting fantasies of being a dictator.
