Demand Chuck Schumer resign as leader!

The Senate Democrats’ complete and total surrender to Republican brinkmanship has to be the last straw. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has proven that he is incapable to meet the demands of the moment and needs to step down. 

Seven Democrats voted with Republicans to re-open the government, while Chuck Schumer claims that he “wasn’t involved” in the plot to surrender. If that is true, it is just as equally disqualifying as participating in the first place. Can you ever imagine Senate Republicans going behind Mitch McConnell’s back? If you can’t control your own caucus, you have no business being leader.

All the suffering that people endured for 40 days was for nothing, as we got NOTHING from the surrender except a “promise” to hold a vote on Affordable Care Act extensions — which they held. Republicans voted no. 

As if this wasn’t all bad enough already, Republicans even inserted a clause in the bill to re-open the government allowing them to sue the DOJ for the seizure of their phone records following the January 6th attacks — a literal handout straight into the wallets of these GOP Senators — and Schumer allowed it to get to the floor and become law. 

Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE.
